Our Secondary Programs are designed with your needs in mind. Whether it be a one-off immersion session, or a multi-week program, we can tailor the paddling program to what suits your timeframe and budget.
All sessions are designed with the Curriculum Council’s K-10 Outcomes in mind. We are also more than happy to assist in delivering Year 11 and 12 Physical Ed Studies or Outdoor Education guided programs.
Program Options
Our programs are facilitated through the 2 disciplines of Canoe Polo and Flatwater.
Canoe Polo is an exciting team based game that allows paddling skills to be developed in a fun environment. Teams of 5 or more take to the “court” and battle it out in a game very similar to water polo.
More information on Canoe Polo can be found at the sidebar or by watching the promotional video below.
Flatwater encompasses the disciplines of sprint and marathon. Opportunities exist to develop paddling skills on the river, harbour or at Champion Lakes in Gosnells. There is also possibility of extending students by offering inshore ocean paddles.
Flatwater paddling is a great way to introduce students to the sport whilst developing a sound technique, support and craft control strokes, general fitness and also inherent learning of respect for the environment, yourself and peers.
More information on Flatwater can be found at the sidebar or by watching the promotional video below.
Both of the Program options will teach students the necessary paddling skills required to perform the activity safely and to control their craft in the desired manner. They would also provide the ideal skill development prior to kayak expeditioning.
